The family of well-known NZ actuary, Janet Hayden, has set a date for her memorial with an open invitation to interested parties.
Hayden (also known under the Brownlie surname) died in May, aged 60, after an illness but the COVID-19 Level 4 lockdown at the time limited funeral attendance to close family only.
In an invite sent out last week, the Brownlie family confirmed the memorial would be held on September 5 – a Saturday – beginning 3pm at the Okahu Functions and Events centre in Okahu Bay, Auckland.
Her family has requested those interested in attending to RSVP brownliecorp@gmail.com – the event will also be live-streamed and recorded.
The invite, available here, also asks attendees to “think about if you would like to share an anecdote about Janet at the memorial”.
Hayden, the first women to graduate in NZ as an actuary, led Aon Hewitt NZ from 2010 through to 2017, remaining as director and chair of the group’s KiwiSaver and master trust schemes until 2019.
