Nikko Asset Management NZ has poached AMP Capital head of distribution, George Carter, to head the business following the imminent departure of current chief Peter Lynn.
It is understood Lynn has been promoted internally to a role with the Nikko Singapore business.
In a note to clients this morning, AMP Capital chief, Grant Hassell, confirmed Carter had left the business after six years.
“George’s honest, open and proactive approach to managing client needs has given him a solid, respected reputation in the market and he leaves AMP Capital for a great opportunity to further his leadership in the financial services sector.”
Neither Carter nor Lynn were available for comment.
