Show clients the future with OMNIMax’s Projection Tool

June 10, 2026

Greg Hansen: OMNIMax general manager

Financial advice clients want to understand where they are heading, what could change, and whether they are on track to meet their goals.

OMNIMax’s Projection Tool supports these conversations by turning financial modelling into something clients can follow. It helps advisers show how a client’s KiwiSaver, investments and other assets could develop over time using clear, visual outputs.

Make projections easier to understand

Projection Tool simplifies complex information. A colourful graph and progress bars enable clients to see at a glance their potential financial future, and whether they are projected to meet their future goals.

The graph shows how assets and goals progress across a client’s lifetime, while Goal Funding Bars highlight whether key milestones such as retirement, education, or a first home are likely to be achieved.

Clients can quickly see where they stand without needing to interpret spreadsheets or detailed reports.

Add context with Monte Carlo simulations

Projection Tool now includes the option to add Monte Carlo simulations, enabling advisers to add a more realistic view of uncertainty. In addition to presenting a Fixed rate of return outcome, the Tool models a range of possible options based on Monte Carlo simulations, with 25th, 50th and 75th percentiles being shown in the associated Graph.

For advisers, this makes it easier to:

  • demonstrate the range of potential outcomes
  • show the probability of meeting goals
  • explain how different assumptions affect risk

For clients, it provides a clearer picture of both opportunity and downside, without relying on a single set of numbers.

Work through scenarios in real time

Projection Tool is designed to support live client discussions. Fact Find data flows directly into the projection, so advisers are not re-entering information. During a meeting, changes can be made on the spot, such as adjusting contributions, adding goals, or testing different assumptions, with results updating immediately. This allows advisers and clients to explore options together and see the impact straight away.

Customised to fit your process

Projection Tool is designed to fit how your business works. It can be used as a standalone tool or as part of OMNIMax’s Investment Adviser Tool, which enables advisers to use the projections in their SOA.

For enterprise sized users, OMNIMax can customise the tool to align with your business processes.

A practical way to demonstrate advice

Projection Tool helps advisers move beyond static outputs and into more interactive client discussions. By combining visual projections, real-time modelling, and Monte Carlo simulations, it gives advisers a clearer way to explain outcomes and risk.
